Let’s get one thing straight—hard work and resistance are NOT the same thing. But if you don’t know how to tell the difference, you’re going to waste a lot of time avoiding the wrong things and grinding through the wrong tasks.

Hard Work = The Long Game

Hard work is what it takes to build something real. It’s the stuff that requires time, patience, and consistency. It’s not always exciting, but it’s necessary.

✅ Learning a language? Hard work.
✅ Writing a book? Hard work.
✅ Building a killer database? Hard work.
✅ Becoming the go-to agent in your market? Hard work.

Hard work feels big and overwhelming because there’s no immediate finish line. You can’t fake it, and you can’t shortcut it. But when you commit to it, you get results—period.

Resistance = The Thing You’re Avoiding

Resistance is different. It’s not about time, it’s about fear. It’s the thing you could do today, but you keep putting it off because it makes you uncomfortable.

🚫 Making sales calls because you fear rejection? Resistance.
🚫 Asking for business because you don’t want to seem pushy? Resistance.
🚫 Posting on social media because you’re afraid of being judged? Resistance.
🚫 Giving tough feedback because you want people to like you? Resistance.

The biggest lie resistance tells you is “This isn’t important.” It tricks you into focusing on busy work instead of the things that actually move the needle.

The thing you resist the most is usually the thing that will change your business the fastest.

So, What Do You Do?

  • Call the lead. 
  • Send the DM. 
  • Ask for the business.
  • Do the thing that scares you.

Because here’s the reality: Fear means go.
