The week after Thanksgiving has a very particular energy. Half the world is still in a food coma. The other half is pretending they aren’t. Schedules feel soft, clients are distracted, and the pace is uneven in a way that can make you feel like you should either power through or completely shut down.
There is a better option. You reset.
A real reset is quiet. It is not a reinvention or a dramatic comeback. It is a subtle shift in direction that helps you get moving again without piling pressure onto a week that already feels a little disjointed. It is the agent’s version of a deep breath.

The most grounded agents I coach start by choosing one priority instead of five. They know momentum comes from direction, not volume. So instead of trying to be everywhere at once, they pick the one thing that will actually move their business forward today. Maybe it is following up with the warm lead, preparing a pricing story, or checking in with a client who needs clarity. One clean win creates the next.
A reset often begins with the environment too. Clearing a desk. Tidying an inbox. Rewriting a task list so it actually reflects reality. These small shifts tell your brain that the week has begun, even if the rest of the world still feels sluggish.
And instead of jumping straight into the algorithm or forcing visibility, they reconnect with people, not platforms. A quick text to a past client. A check-in with a buyer who went quiet. A warm touchpoint with someone who trusts you. Real relationships wake up a business faster than any post.
Movement helps as well. A walk, a stretch, a workout. Getting the body in motion brings the mind back online. It shakes off the static that builds when the days blur together.
Most importantly, they lower the friction. They do not try to launch something complicated or solve everything at once. They make the first step easy so the second step becomes obvious.

Coaching Corner:
Here is the real secret: momentum is not emotional. It is physiological. Your nervous system sets your pace. When you are scattered, foggy, or overstimulated, no amount of effort creates flow. A reset pulls you out of reactivity and back into regulation. Once your system settles, your mind sharpens, your decisions get cleaner, and your presence deepens. That is when momentum returns.
So if you feel slow this week, you are not behind. You are human. Begin with one meaningful action and let that be enough to restart the engine.
Finish the year with intention, not force.
